Hand Of Pod episode 5

17 Dec
Zombie

Zombie would like to wish all his fans a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

The fifth episode of Hand Of Pod is a bumper, one-hour(ish) end-of-year special. Uploading was delayed by a couple of days due to delays in editing, but now Sam, Dan and Dan guide you through the climax of the Argentine league campaign and Independiente’s dramatic Copa Sudamericana win with the help of tamed Independiente fan Fran. There’s also an aside on players’ goal celebrations in which Zombie (pictured) has a part to play. Sound quality isn’t what it normally is this week, due to having to record over Skype thanks to Sam’s Christmas holiday in England, but we’ll be back to normal when we return in mid-late January 2011.

You can listen right here, or of course subscribe on iTunes. The HOP theme music is composed, performed and produced by Nick Ball.

In the fourth episode of Hand Of Pod, Sam, Dan and Dan discuss the denouement of the Argentine season, which will be played out between now and Monday night in the final two rounds of the Torneo Apertura. We also take a look back at the first leg of Independiente’s Copa Sudamericana final against Goiás, and you’ll hear our considered response to the announcement of the Argentina squad for the South American Under 20 championships, which will be played in Peru in January. You can listen or download right here, or of course subscribe to us on iTunes. Enjoy.

The theme music, as ever, is composed, performed and produced by Nick Ball.

Hand Of Pod episode 3

'Try and look friendly and welcoming,' we told English Dan. You wouldn't want to see him on a bad day.

The third episode of Hand Of Pod is now online! Sam, Dan and Dan are in San Telmo this week, talking about Cristian Fabbiani’s waitline, River Plate’s uselessness in front of goal, an amazing few minutes at Banfield vs Racing, and the veterans currently lighting up the league. There’s also incisive analysis of Independiente’s Copa Sudamericana final opponents, Brazilian side Goiás (since recording this episode, Goiás won the first leg of the final 2-0 in Brazil).

As ever, our wonderful theme music is composed, performed and produced by Nick Ball.

Don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes! Clicking ‘Continue reading’ will reveal a photograph of Cristian Fabbiani, as promised in the podcast itself.
